A former US Marine and current US Navy SEAL, Adam Schwarze has participated in military deployments across the globe. As platoon in-water mission commander, Adam Schwarze is part of a “silent force” whose heroic actions b often go unheralded by the public. One public recognition of the fighting force is the Navy SEAL Museum in Fort Pierce, Florida.

The museum has numerous outdoor exhibit pieces. These include a Mark V special operations craft (SOC) that spans 82 feet and is used by SWCC Special Boat Teams in force insertion and extraction activities. Visitors can also step onboard the lifeboat in which Captain Richard Phillips survived for five days as a hostage in 2009. Having been captured by pirates off Somalia, he was ultimately rescued through the efforts of Navy SEALs.

One of the most compelling features of the immersive museum is a full obstacle course that is modeled on the one in Coronado where BUD/S candidates master basic skills. This outdoor course is rigorous and challenging to master. This outdoor course allows visitors to test their physical and mental skills and endurance. Each year, the museum hosts various events, including a Memorial Day Ceremony and a Muster 5K on the nearby beach where the first Frogmen trained.
